Enjoy smooth sailing in and out of the mountains, no tunnel traffic required. Just hop on I-70, take Exit 232, and get ready to enjoy the views from Berthoud Pass. During ski season, you can opt for the Winter Park Express providing weekend train service between Denver Union Station and Winter Park Resort. During the summer, you might choose a longer, more scenic route through Rocky Mountain National Park.

Easy access to and from denver
Winter Park is the gateway to all things Grand County and just 70 miles from Denver. Take I-70 West to Exit 232 and you’ll see. Wilderness, national forest, hot springs and world-class skiing will suddenly come into view. Get up here and start building your mountain life.
Directions from Denver:
From Denver, find your way to I-70 West. Follow I-70 West for approximately 40 miles to Exit 232 for Winter Park, Empire and Granby. Take Exit 232 and follow Hwy 40 for about 24 miles, over Berthoud Pass and into Winter Park.
